The 3Ts: how we judge our own craft

“Craft follows what we call the 3Ts, our test of how a material turns, transitions and terminates.”
In our design studio, every architectural detail is evaluated against our uncompromising standard: the 3Ts—how a material Turns, Transitions, and Terminates.
Turn: When a stone wall wraps a corner or when wood cladding curves into a hallway, the grain, shadowline, and joint must feel seamless and intentional without awkward bevels or cover strips.
Transition: The threshold where Belgian oak flooring meets honed Italian terrazzo is where true craftsmanship reveals itself. We design flush, tactile interfaces that require no metal divider trims.
Terminate: How a surface finishes against glass, ceiling planes, or soil defines the structural honesty of the residence. Nothing is hidden beneath filler trims.
"True luxury is not loud ornament; it is the quiet perfection of how materials meet."
This rigorous approach ensures that each home at Hanging Gardens ages with grace, dignity, and lasting elegance.
